Last week the wonderful people at Perlier (an Italian brand) and iFabbo sent me the Perlier Eight Piece Try Me Travel Set to review. This cute kit from #PerlierOnHSN contains four sets of shower gels with their corresponding lotions or body balms. Use this in your shower and you’ll bring all the comforts and scents of an Italian spa right into your home!

This set came a few days before I was leaving to spend the weekend in Vegas which was perfect. They came in a plastic zipper top bag with the Perlier logo that is TSA approved to carry liquids in your carry on which is a plus. To give amble sampling time I used one set (body balm and shower gel) a day. You really can’t go wrong with any of these sets but there were a few standouts.

Perlier Eight Piece Try Me Travel Set – The Shower Gels

As you can tell I’ve definitely been using the shower gels! The formula is does not leave your skin dry and lathered up nicely when used with a loofa or wash cloth. The only variances I found with the shower gel formula were my personal preferences when it comes to scents.

The Shea Butter formula was by far my favorite in terms of scent and hydration. The scent is described as “Soft notes of citrus” and I find that this scent reminds me of how I want summer to feel; of fruity drinks and sunshine. As for hydration I wash my hands frequently and they were not immediately dry and in dire need of lotion afterwards. This was a huge plus for me because I am usually slathering on lotion on my hands all day long. I am slightly obsessed with this one….it is more than halfway gone; time to buy a full size!

Perlier White Almond Shower Cream Mini Perlier White Almond Body Cream Mini

The White Almond scent reminds me of my Grandmother (she has a huge almond tree at her house in the islands). It is a powdery, light almond, sugary, powdery smell. It’s not my favorite sensory wise out of the bunch but it is a close second in performance with the Shea Butter formula for me.

The Olive Oil duo has a strong herbal and organic smell…and if I’m honest a bit like nail polish remover. If you’ve been to a Spa it’s that typical spa scent…earthy and clean and just slightly antiseptic. lol. Performance wise the lotion was a little too thin for me but the Shower gel worked nicely.

Scent wise this was by far my least favorite. I’ve come to the recent conclusion that anything honey scented reminds me of cough drops….which is weird because I don’t typically use those….haha. But I will say this; the water is notoriously hard and the air is very dry in Las Vegas and I did not suffer from ashy skin a second I was there which is RARE for me. 

Overall this is a GREAT way to try out Perlier and become familiar with this line and even better….the whole thing retails for $19.95!
