Part two of Faceoff week is all about glowing skin. That fresh, healthy, sunny glow is needed for the Spring and Summer seasons. Since I typically wear lighter makeup in the summer it’s imperative my underlying skin looks as amazing as I can get it. So that brings us to my two current favorites: Vasanti BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator vs. Clinique 7 Day Scrub Cream.

This has been my love child for months. I have so many of the travel size from Clinique bonus times and I keep them all in the shower. The texture of this exfoliator is definitely gritty and you can really feel the particles when you’re scrubbing your face which is nice if you like that sort of thing. I’ve already told you guys how much I love Clinique because of how kind their products are to my sensitive skin. From a little research this product does contain parabens. A full size of this product will run you $19.50.

Vasanti BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator
I got the Vasanti (a Canadian brand) in my March Birchbox and I love it! It’s got a lot of fancy things in the description like “Enzymatic Face Brightener” and “enriched with papaya, micro-crystals, and aloe”. It also says that this contains “dermatologist-grade microdermabrasion crystals” and I would have to agree with this. The texture of this exfoliator is exponentially smoother than the Clinique scrub. You can’t really feel the grit of the crystals in this product until you start applying it to your face and even still they are so gentle. This does not contains parabens or mineral oil or any icky ingredients and is 99% natural. A full size of this product will run you $34.

So who wins?
I’m going to have to give it to the high end product here. Vasanti wins! The texture of this product is what blew me away. Skincare is not something I tend to be cheap or skimp on so the price does not bother me that much. Clinique I can find on the ground which is nice but once I use up my current stash I will be purchasing the full size Vasanti exfoliator.
