Look what I had the great pleasure of finding at my local Bed Bath & Beyond! The brand spankin’ new Maybelline Baby Lips Electro collection! The display states “No More Basic Lip Balm! – Clinical Care with a Neon Kick!” I’ve already sang the praises of the Baby Lips balms in this post, but this is my first experience with their tinted line. Just a quick recap of the back of some of the stats on the packaging: “Made with shea butter and vitamin E”…”8 hour moisture”..”88% had smoother lips after one week”. etc.
We all know Neon is this summer’s “thing” so of course that would translate into makeup!

All in the collection are true to the Baby Lips formulas and provide excellent hydration as well as surprisingly dark color on some of the shades.

Don’t let the green and yellow fool you! They are quite sheer on my skin and pigmented lips but it’s a fun color to have to shock people with when you put it on your lips (Is she really using green??). They all have distinct tastes and smells which is a nice change of pace.

As you can see Fierce N Tangy and Minty Sheer give the subtlest yellow/orange tint but nothing at all too overpowering.

These three swatched are my favorite and Pink Shock is my new BFF. The color applies to the lip as vivid as it does in the picture above (sorry guys I’m feeling under the weather so no lip swatches, check my Instagram later this week!). Pink Shock also smells like a push pop….so I am in heaven. Strike a Rose is a gorgeous pinky coral shade. I love these tinted lip balms so much for summer to have in your purse because they aren’t as heavy as lipsticks (and you won’t be as sad if they melt a little!)

i have all of them but the purple one. i got the yellow one right after it came out. i just got the green and rose a few weeks ago on clearance. The green is super pretty. i just got the orange and pink today. i havent even got to try them yet. i bet they are super too…
