Milani is definitely in the top two drugstore brands for me in terms of lip products (among other things!). This Spring they are giving friends to their much loved lipsticks in the forms of Power Lip Gloss Stains and Lip Intense Liquid Lip Colors.

The first products I picked up have your typical click pen applicators. You click-click-click until enough product comes through the brush and you apply it on the lips.

I’m not the biggest fan of click pen application because I find that application can be a bit streaky. I do find it a little streaky with Mango Tango but the darker color in Cabaret blend hides streaks a little better. I find that these don’t smell and taste that great; the smell kind of reminds me of alcohol and plastic mixed together, but fortunately it does not last after the first couple of minutes.

I don’t find that Mango Tango stains my lips much. Cabaret Blend does after about an hour or so which makes fading during the day a little less noticeable.

Lip Intense Liquid Colors

For these products Milani went with a flat sponge applicator…can’t really call this a doe foot as it’s missing the tapered shape. The smell in these is a bit stronger but again it does not last for long.

I like this straight applicator because it allows you to cover more surface area than a traditional doe foot allows. These dry to a nice sheen that is midway between a gloss and a lipstick. The pigmentation is great and I would totally purchase more colors. These tend to last around 4 hours or so on my lips before re-application is necessary.

I like Milani’s Pigment a lot! I sleep on them so much though. I like these colors though.
I like them too! Just wish they didn’t smell so weird…lol
Those are great pigments. I just got some eye liner from Milani and I was so disappointed, but their lipsticks always seem to be nice. I’m still on a quest for a good liquid eyeliner.
