Early last month QVC released Tarte Colored Clay 7 piece collection as a Today’s Special Value. At the time this set retailed for $59 but now it sells for $65 exclusively from QVC. There are four shades to chose from: Fair, Medium, Tan, and Deep. The set includes:

- Tarte Amazonian Colored Clay Liquid Foundation
- Tarte Bamboo Foundation Brush
- Tarte Amazonian Colored Clay Bronzer blush in Pink Bronze
- Tarte Amazonian Colored Clay Eyeliner in Black
- Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Mascara in Black

As of right now 5 of the products included in this set are exclusive to QVC. These include the Bronzer Blush, The Amazonian Colored Clay Liquid Foundation, the bamboo brush, the Colored Clay eyeliner, and the Lipsurgence Lipgloss. They aren’t even for sale yet on the regular Tarte website and I’m not sure when the products will launch in store or on their website but I imagine they will be there sometime this year.

Tarte Colored Clay CC Primer in Deep
I thought this product would be kind of gimmicky when I first spotted it in stores this January. Stick primers aren’t really a brand new invention but this CC primer is my favorite new product so far this Spring. The purple and green triangles help color correct and the tinted parts add a sheer wash of color on the face. I love applying this in circular motions and blending with my fingers and I’m literally done with makeup after filling in my brows. I can see that this may be a summer favorite but I do suggest if you’re oily to use an oil fighting primer underneath as it’s not the greatest at fighting oil throughout the day. They really aren’t kidding when they call this a liquid foundation. It’s seriously almost the consistency of water and thus feels really lightweight on the skin. The packaging is also different as all this liquid is contained within a fine mesh sifter that controls the amount of product it distributes which is nice because if this was in a bottle this foundation would get. everywhere. You seriously need ONE dab of the brush into the sifter and that’s all you need on your face which I learned through trial and error. The brush it comes with is very dense and does a great job blending the foundation, I just wish it was slightly bigger so blending this foundation into the skin wouldn’t take as long….or maybe I just have a big face…

This is one of the most high coverage/ highly pigmented. foundations I’ve come across If you double tap you will probably have enough product to put foundation all over your upper body. I wouldn’t use this every day because I don’t think I need this high a coverage on a regular basis but it does give the skin a nice satin finish. Beware though because I find it settles into the laugh lines around my mouth so like I mentioned above a pore filler primer before using this and a powder to set after is a must!

I love multidimensional blushes! This one contains two shades of brown for bronzer, a light pink and a yellow for a slight highlight and a deep pink for a blush. Swirled together they create a mid-toned shimmery blush on my skintone. If you had a brush skinny enough you could pick up the colors individually but i like how they look swirled together.

Like I mentioned before this is one of the new exclusive products. If you’re familiar with Tarte you know their Lipsurgence collection up until now only included lip products in pencil form so this is a nice addition to the collection. This is a glittery slightly blue tinged gloss that applies beautifully and the undertone makes my teeth look whiter. Score!

Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara
I’ve had the sister to this mascara: Lights, Camera, Flashes for a while now and I adore the length it gives me. Lights Camera, Lashes is the original and I think this is more volumizing than the Flashes which is all about the length. It’s a great everyday mascara and I love the formula.

This is your typical retractable pencil liner. Not much else to say about this but it does do a decent job of adhering to your waterline.
